For HMI tasks in the medium performance range, the 270 series offers a Touch Panel and an 

Operator Panel with 6” display. The Windows CE-based devices feature 4 MB of user memory and high-contrast TFT displays. Matching their more demanding application profile, the devices offer a 

wide range of interfaces, the option of using scripts and archives, and generally larger 

quantity structures. SIMATIC HMI offers mounting compatible successors from the Comfort 

Panel family for both of the devices, which are higher performing but less expensive.

Area of application: 

HMI device for HMI tasks of medium complexity; for the use in PROFIBUS DP networks or in

 PROFINET environments. In addition to the HMI standard functionality, the application range

 can be expanded via the WinCC flexible options Smart Access, Smart Service and Audit.

Design and functions:

The TP 277 features a high-contrast 6” TFT display. The user memory of 4 MB provides sufficient space even for more 

complex projects and can be expanded further via Multi Media card, e.g., for recipes and 

archive data. The data can be stored in the Windows standard format CSV, and be processed

 with MS Excel or Access. The contents of the alarm buffer are preserved even if the panel is 

turned off. The TP700 Comfort which is the mounting compatible successor of the TP 277 

offers a display with 40% more space and a resolution which is more than twice as high. 

Although it is more powerful it is considerabily cheaper. The OP277 offers the same features 

and functions as the TP 277, but is operated via keybord. There is a successor for this device

 too: The KP700 comfort which offers the same convincing features as the TP700 comfort.
